Shakespeare is probably one of the most well-known playwrights in the world. He has written about 154 sonnets and 34 plays. While I'm far from a Shakesperian scholar, I have read five of his plays: Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet,The Merchant of Venice,Much Ado about Nothing, and Julius Caesar. If you've never read Shakespeare and would like to start, I suggest that you read Julius Caesar first; it's not as difficult as some of his other plays and is interesting to read. Romeo and Juliet is fun to read also, but a little bit more difficult than Julius Caesar. Macbeth is more difficult to understand and isn't as exciting as Julius Caesar.

PLEASE, send me suggestions and/or comments about this Shakespearean section of my web site. I also want to put in a section that has Shakespearean insults that are verbatim phrases or lines from works of Shakespeare, not just words one can put together.
