Veteran's Page
MY STORY - I attended the University of Washington in 1986 on a ROTC scholarship, graduating in 1990. I was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the Field Artillery in June of 1990 and began active duty that same month at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma where I attended the Officer's Basic Course. After OBC I attended the Nuclear Warhead Detachment Course and Airborne School in Ft. Benning, Georgia. I was then assigned to a Special Weapons Detachment in northern Germany, where I earned my German Paratrooper Badge with the German Army. I completed my active duty service with Howitzer Battery, 1st Squadron, 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment in Fulda, Germany.
I feel very privileged for having had the opportunity to serve my country. I am also grateful for the men and women who have given so much more than I. This page is for them.

I especially want to honor the service
members who never made it home. I also thank the countless family
members of our POW/MIA. Please take a moment and read about Operation Just Cause and the
latest efforts to locate and return these missing personnel.
(Thanks also to the OJC site for the graphics seen on this page).
If you have time, you should visit the
Veteran's
Memorial Museum, and be sure to ask for a personal
tour from the Director, Lee Grimes. Lee is a special guy with a
real heart and understanding for veterans. If you are lucky, you'll
also get to meet some of the museum's fine volunteer staff. For
me, it is always a special day when Ron Harmon is there when I
visit.
If you would like to loan or donate items to the museum, talk
with Lee. All items are treated with respect and displayed with
dignity and pride. The museum is truly dedicated to honoring the
American veteran.
