Cupid, Whimsy, Shadow & Firefly 2009 DISTRICT VII SAANEN SPECIALTY—BOISE ID.—1ST PLACE DAIRY HERD
Left to right :Cupid, Whimsy, Shadow & Firefly
I only went to ONE club show in 2009 but it was well worth the time and effort to travel almost 500 miles one way. Shadow finished her GCH, Cupid was BOB & BUOB, two junior does earned legs, plus we won group classes we had entries for. Between the one show and Linear Appraisal all mature does, the bucks and some dry stock got evaluated.
Cherub & Angel Cherub & Angel - A Proud moment to cherish! 1st place Dam & Daughter, 2005 ADGA National Show.
Cherub and Angel have crossed the rainbow bridge. While these exceptional does are no longer living with us their legacy lives on through offspring. I am saddened by their loss-they are forever out on green pasture with browse around the edges and warm sun on their backs.
GCH ROCKY-RUN ROGUE'S CUPID 6*M
GCH ROCKY-RUN ROGUE'S CUPID 6*M

Cupid did me proud at the District VII Saanen Specialty. Winning BOB, BUOB plus being part of our winning Dairy Herd Class. Her new LA score FS91 equals her dam’s score but at a younger age. Time will tell if Cupid can surpass her dam in this area.

GCH ROCKY-RUN MIC'S SERAPHIM 7*M
GCH ROCKY-RUN MIC'S SERAPHIM 7*M

Seraphim continues to do her part to support the Dairy. A no nonsense doe in the herd, she makes you appreciate her more all the time. Seraphim has one of the tightest mammary attachments you will see anywhere. Now 6 years old that udder is still as strong as it was at 2! Her new LA score ties her Dam’s high lifetime score.

ROCKY-RUN GBMT WHIMSY
ROCKY-RUN GBMT WHIMSY

2010 photos from Boise Idaho show. Whimsy is one of the largest does in the barn. She needs to be on the Jenny Craig plan :-) Single kids don't enhance production.

ROCKY-RUN WAY X-PRESSIVE
ROCKY-RUN WAY X-PRESSIVE

2010 profile photo from Boise Idaho show--rear udder taken at Chehalis. X-Pressive has a super high tight udder.

GCH ROCKY-RUN F CONFECTION 6*M
GCH ROCKY-RUN F CONFECTION 6*M

Coni is hanging out with the working girls. She only kidded a single this year and her milk production reflects it! It was a single buck kind of year for a number of the older girls.

GCH ROCKY-RUN R SCARCE COMODITY 9*M
GCH ROCKY-RUN R SCARCE COMODITY 9*M

Scarce---so named because of the shortage of Doe kids the year she was born. I lost Scarce kidding this year. It isn't easy to say good bye to your old friends while the vet is helping them to ease over the Rainbow Bridge. Good memories will overcome the sadness in time.

Click here for more information on Scarce.
GCH ROCKY-RUN MIC’S SASCHET 10*M
GCH ROCKY-RUN MIC’S SASCHET 10*M

BUMMER!!!! Saschet was false Pregnant in 2009. She was excused from Linear appraisal as NIC. I know she would have been a top scoring doe. Saschet is fresh for 2010 and looking GOOD :-)... LA will not be until September but I expect her to score very well.

Click here for more information on Saschet.
GCH ROCKY-RUN MIC'S SHADOW 10*M
GCH ROCKY-RUN MIC'S SHADOW 10*M

Shadow did me proud at the District VII Saanen Specialty. She was GCH which earned her GCH status! Then for LA she topped it off with a FS90 score. :-)

ROCKY-RUN ET’S TWINKLE 11*M
ROCKY-RUN ET’S TWINKLE 11*M

‘Twink’ is another HUGE doe sired by ET. She is much smoother then her half-sister, Silly, and with the same well attached udder. Excused from LA due to a C-section, Twink was not scored in 2009.

Click here for more information on Twinkle.
ROCKY-RUN I’S FIREFLY
ROCKY-RUN I’S FIREFLY

Firefly is a large yearling. She went to the Saanen Specialty in Boise Idaho and was 1st three out of 4 rings. Her sire, Isaiah, was exported into Canada to a semen collection facility in Alberta.

ROCKY-RUN I’S STUNNING

2010 photos from Boise Idaho show. Stunning has matured a lot since LA in 2009. A pretty doe any way you look at her.

ROCKY-RUN SHE’S A DILLY 11*M
ROCKY-RUN SHE’S A DILLY 11*M

Dilly is a very correct doe. Not a heavy milker she is a very steady producer, a plus in my dairy.

*B ROCKY-RUN GBMT ISAIAH
*B ROCKY-RUN GBMT ISAIAH

Isaiah’s first daughters are fresh. I am very pleased! I may regret that Isaiah was exported to Canada just about the time his daughters were kidding. Isaiah went to a buck collection facility. His semen will be made available to Canadian Goat Society members. Export back to the USA should also be available. www.ocflock.com

ROCKY-RUN WAY X-CEP-SHUN-L
ROCKY-RUN WAY X-CEP-SHUN-L

X-Cep has matured into a handsome 2 year old. He still has that nice head and that escutcheon to die for. He was GCH four times at the Boise Idaho show—unfortunately not enough bucks for it to count.

Click here for more information on X-CEP.
*B TRADEWINDS LUCKY’S SABER
*B TRADEWINDS LUCKY’S SABER

The new guy –Saber joined the herd in May. Saber is a big for his age with lots of bone but plenty of dairy to go with it. His pedigree is full of GCHs. I am hopeful the top traits of both herds come together in his offspring.
