PBHA

Early February and the grass is growing. It is still winter but it seems like spring.

The PBHA opener is just a month out! March 6th at Stewart’s in Yelm.

Our Yelm races are at the indoor arena.

We had more difficulties with the schedule than normal this winter. We lost dates at both the Trails and Elma.

Our schedule as posted is the final edition and will not be changed. If we rainout or the Trails closes we will not reschedule. If we can move to another arena on the same date we will consider that option.

Please note: Saturday, March 20th at the Trails we will start at 1pm. We are delaying our normal start time by one hour due to a conflict with a race at Stewarts Arena. We had to move to this date and Stewart’s had a race booked first. This weekend was the only option we had and we try to work with other producers whenever possible. If any of our riders want to run at both events please let Mitzi know, we will accommodate you the best we can.

The revised 2010 rules are posted. The main revisions are:  we cleaned up the requirements for Medals class and we added a side-pot to the open 5D race. PBHA will honor checks up to one year after the original issuance, after that the un-cashed check is considered a donation to the association. We need to balance the books at least yearly. Other than that we did some general housecleaning, please read the posted rules!

Mitzi and I survived the winter nicely, she has a new horse and they are doing great. I pulled Honey out of retirement for a few more runs and she pushed her lifetime winnings over $16,500.  The horse Psychic says Honey does not want to run any more so I guess that is it. I was at the Rock N Horse arena today, it is very wet, but the summer months are around the corner. We plan bigger and better things for out outdoor races, BBQ’s and swimming!

In closing, I want to thank all the riders who have supported PBHA. The Association is in its TENTH year and is still growing. Mitzi, myself, the Directors and volunteers will work hard to keep this association the best.

Thank you everyone and we hope to see you at the PBHA races!

George
