EARLY ENTRY POLICY FOR PBHA SERIES, 2008 SEASON
EARLY ENTRIES
We are implementing the following early-entry system. Early entry will help the office greatly and will benefit the riders because of smaller lines and quicker postings of run order.
Draw will be posted on the PBHA web site by 9pm, the night prior to the race.
Your draw position will not be changed. We MAY fill holes in the draw with late entries (if riders request it).
You enter either by phone or email on Thursday evening prior
to the race date. Email
If you do not pre enter you will be charged a $5 late fee.
When you arrive at the race please come to the office and pay your fees and sign the release. (No one can ride without signing the release; parents must sign for underage children)
TIME RUNS
Time runs will end at 1 hour prior to the start of the OPEN class, SHARP!
We understand the need for time runs but starting the race on time takes precedence.
If you want to be sure you have a time run be early!
Time runs will be paid for at the gate! The gate person will have change.
A time run consist of one time through the pattern.
Please be courteous to the other riders and don’t take up too much time (a fast walk or trot is acceptable but please keep the forward motion going.)
Draw Outs or Vet outs.
Early entries are a must this year.
You can notify us of your drawing out by e-mail prior to 9pm, the night prior to the race pbha@localaccess.com or pokey@localaccess.com after that notify us by cell phone; 360-789-4289. We will take draw outs for ANY reason up to 2 hours prior to the start of the OPEN race. It is the rider’s responsibility to ensure we are notified of draw outs. The rider MUST receive confirmation of draw out from Mitzi or George, either by e-mail or over the phone. If Mitzi or I do not speak to you on the phone or return your e-mail you are still entered in the race you will be assessed a $5 penalty for not contacting us!
This is a random draw, BUT if you are running multiple horses put a note on your early entry form with the number of riders you require between horses.
If you are traveling a distance or have another reason you may arrive later, put a note on the early entry form and we will not have you in the early draw.
Entries will still be taken day of race, but due to PBHA’s growth be early and prepared for long lines and there will be a $5 late fee.
PLEASE help us by early entering!
Riders wishing to join PBHA may do so by mail. Just send us filled out and signed membership forms along with full payment. No need to stand in LOOOOOONG lines the first weekend!
