AUGUST 2008

The 2008 season is complete and what a season it was! Ridership held to high numbers throughout the season and I know I speak for all the Officers and Directors when I say we are grateful for the support, and trust of our riders.

Mitzi is busy with the points and awards and she says she hopes to post everything by Sunday evening.

The Awards Banquet is scheduled for Saturday evening, November 1st at the Trails End Arena, more details later.

The just completed Rochester race, it was a hot one! It also convinced us we need to upgrade our facility to more efficiently handle the ever increasing number of rioders. We are starting the process to get a larger water well, we will improve our fencing. We will run two tractors at Rochester next season. We will try adding some sand to the ground, we think this will allow us to water during the race day. One goal is to have a cookshack in place next season. With the new well we will have more power, a few hookups are not out of the question. Mitzi and I have decided to stay home more so watch for more Rochester races. Speaking of::: NBHA WA07 has scheduled for September 13-14 at Rochester, details are on their web-site. http://www.willapabarrelracers.org/

Back to more PBHA news. I'm sure some of you have heard EBRA is disbanding. PBHA will pick up a couple early dates, one in February, and one in March. This will help give riders a place to compete in the winter without spending a bunch. We will run a 14-race schedule next season, the schedule is posted elsewhere on the PBHA site.

We decided to not have an August race, it is just to darn HOT! And with the County Fairs, Rodeos, PSHA finals, many of our members have other commitments.
