I'm a 5 handicapper and my best was 3.9 in 1992... Best golf round 71 (-2) on Botkyrka Golf Club par 73 in Club tournament 1992 , Club Champion 1992 ... I play Mizuno TPZ oversise clubs and Big Berta driver ....
My Golf story
I found out about golf when I was working in Dubai in 1983... I had there an Italian friend named Pierro Giorgetti, he was a great singer too, he sings just like Frank Sinatra, well he started to play golf and he needed a companion crazy enough to follow him in the desert at 102 F and 99% humidity... they had there a 9 holes golf course made for the crazy english men that worked there... the course was in the middle of the desert and the fairways were marked with green sticks, you had to carry a small artificial grass carpet that you were allowed to use on the fairway... the greens were actually brown, a mixture of sand with petrolium (they got plenty of those there) that made possible to drill a hole and to putt on them... So, I went to try it for myself and soon I bought me a half golf set and started practice the swing behind or on top of our high house with some golf balls attached to a long string. That was funny because Pierro lived in next house to me and we would see each other hit the ball on top of our buildings almost every day... well that held for about five months and I moved to Sweden where golf was very popular... because of my work I didn't play until 1987 when I got into a golf club opened near my house called Botkyrka Golf Club... They got there an 18 holes course and a 9 short holes course... the 18 holes course is one of the most interesting course in Stockholm and I tell you that is not an easy course even so I play it for 10 years now... Well, I play and practiced much, that's why I got to play so well in just a few years... I already played as a single handicapper after 4 years of golf... I won many tournaments in my club and my best year was 1992 where I won the club tournament , the second round was the best a 71 strokes that's two under par on the par 73 home course... I had my best three holes ever , the 9th hole par 3 "birdie" , the 10th hole par 4 "eagle" and the 11th hole par 3 "birdie" , three 2's on my score card... another tournament to mention about was in 1993, Pro's Prize... I won that one with another 71 round, 6 birdies this time and one of my opponents I was playing with had 6 birdies and the other one had 4 birdies, it was a great challange to win that tournament ... well, I'm still playing well, but I have nothing worth to mention in the past few years... I also enjoy golf on my computer, I play Links 386 Pro and PGA European Tour there my best round is 61 (-11) with an "albatros" drive, drive on a par five hole and a Hole in One...
