Hey ... that's me in the picture ... do I look to serious? Well, it was taken at a Chistmas party in 1995, I had to look well *smile* ... So you wanna find out about me ? ... Well, get a cup of coffee, relax and read it all...

I was born in the middle of Transilvania in Alba Iulia, Romania, the country of Dracula the Vampire, in December 1957... In the first year of college I got into the school band, I used to play the guitar then, but they needed a drummer, so I learned to play drums and I was doing that for a living.. I played in many bands and many places in Romania, from Transilvania to the beautiful Carpati mountains and all the way to the Black Sea... in 1980 I got into a band called The Romantics, a famous band in Romania that had contracts abroad... so I got to travel a lot, Belgium, Germany, Arab Emirates...

In 1983 I married the singer in our band and we stayed married for 10 years... in 1984 we moved to Stockholm Sweden where we played in different bands... in 1987 we had Mona, our great daughter... Since 1990 I played in a band called "Special Edition" , everyone in the band was from Romania, living in Sweden and we are good friends... we played all kinds of dance music, disco, pop, rock&roll, samba, jazz, olden goldies and even rap... we were working mostly on the cruise boats all over Scandinavia, we've played also in Turkey, Cyprus, Spain and Germany... In 1996 I met a wonderful lady on the net and in December I moved to the US to marry her. She has an 11 years old son, Rob and he's a great boy... Life is great again, a wonderful family with two loving kids, a dog and a lovely wife, that was something I was missing...

Well, I like many things, but I'll mention just the more important for now... Computers, sports, movies, traveling, reading, writing, languages... okay now for those who are interested I'll explain a little about each one...

COMPUTERS : I've always been interested in new things and when I saw the first computer in Dubai I said "that's a nice toy to have", but much later I found out that "Puters" are more then toys... I had my first Puter, a Atari STE in 1989 and I spent a lot of time with it, I started to learn Basic Language and I tried to make small programs, but the black&white display didn't last much so I got a PC in 1992... I was happy to have a 17" screen and the "true color" option. I was working with many programs and system configuration, DOS, Win3 and Win95, updating and installing hardware and software. My old PC was a good Puter to work on, it needed the updates too, from a DX 33Mhz I updated it to a Pentium 60Mhz with all the Multimedia features. I create photo realistic pictures with 3D Studio. I edit photos with Fractal Painter, Photoshop, Photostyler, KPT 3. I like to work with Page Maker, Publisher, Corel Draw, Freehand, Netscape Gold, MS Works and a few others. I also like games on the computer, simulations games like golf, snooker, football, baseball, simcity, civilization, any game where you can use your mind, not only the joystick...

GOLF: Is one of my favorite games and I have a special Golf Page for it... take a look.

BackGammon : I love to play backgammon... I learned how to play when I was a kid and got better all the time... Lately I found a BG program named JellyFish and it is the best I ever played so far. Winning percentage is just 55% and playing at level 7 is tough ...

LANGUAGES : Ahhh! I love languages and maybe is that's why I try to learn as many as I can. I speak Romanian, English, Swedish, French, Italian, Spanish and little German ... German is a tough one...

MOVIES : I can say that I am a movie freak, I saw hundreds of movies. In Romania I used to have a large collection of movies, I used to have an info book for my movies, but lately Cinemania CD made me throw it away...

MUSIC : Yes, music it's been in my life since I was very young. I started to play guitar and piano when I was 10, then at 14 I took some trumpet lessons. At 15 my big chance arrived, an opening in the school's band playing Drums and later singing . I like all kinds of music, but most of all I like Modern Jazz and Rock. I have some musicians I wanna mention here and they are: Lee Retenour, Michael Franks, Phil Perri, Mike Stern, Michael Brecker, David Sanborn, Dave Weckl, Joel Rosenblatt, Todd Strait, Chick Corea, Michel Camilo, Al Jarreau and some of my favorite bands: Yellowjackets, Tower of Power, Toto, Spyro Gyra, a new Swedish band New Tone and many other...

READING : is another hobby of mine, I like to know many things, but the only bad thing about reading is that it takes too much time... but hey, what else was there to do in the middle of the sea with no new movies...Now as a family man I don't have much time for reading, but hopefully I will be able to get back to it.

SPORTS : I played a lot of sports in my life, starting in school I was swimming in tournaments, and playing basketball on the school team. I enjoy playing billiards and snooker, table tennis and when I moved to Sweden I discovered "Golf", a sport made just for me *smile*. I also like football and baseball. My wife is a little league coach and this year she needs help with her team, I just hope I'll know enough to help her with coaching...

TRAVELING : Well , with my job as a musician I had to travel, so I started to like it *smile*... I've seen many countries, Turkey, Cyprus, Arab Emirates, Bulgary, Hungary, Austria, Swiss, Germany, Belgium, France, Spain, Portugal, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Estonia and of course now moving to US will give me lots of new possibilities...

WRITING : Hmmm... how did this come to be mentioned? I only started to write a Golf book in Romanian language, but I stopped because of the golf season... well, I guess when the winter comes it will give me something to do... Or who knows? maybe I'll put my life into words one day...
